Sports Day Success

Friday 18th April saw Bantry Athletics Club host their annual Sports Day which is open to all local National Schools. This occasion allows for all national school children to compete in a variety of track and field events. This meeting always concludes with the eagerly anticipated and contested Inter-schools relay. This year St. Finbarr's B.N.S. emerged victorious in what was again a fantastic race. Shane Keevers ran a superb 1st leg, followed by Tim Foley who turned the bend to pass to Eoin Lynch. From here we were in 1st position and Dermot Spillane who ran the 4th leg, ran steadily to the finish line.
Well done to these boys, the team subs of Phylip Dowling and Mark Hine and to all the boys and girls who competed in the great annual event.
Thaks to Bantry Athletics Club and all who helped on the day.

St. Finbarr's Boys N.S. is situated on Seskin Hill, overlooking the picturesque seaside town of Bantry
