Ireland Long Ago

E-mail Print PDF
Recently we studied Ireland in the 1900’s. We learned about how people lived, what work they carried out and their daily routine. Some of the professions we looked at are Blacksmiths, the Cobblers, Hooping a Cartwheel, Threshing, Sowing Seeds and Thatching. We even made our own scones to taste what people ate ‘long ago’. Here are some pictures of our project.

Baking Scones

While doing our project on ‘Ireland Long ago' we decided to make our own scones to taste what food was like back then. We worked in groups of three, gathered all our ingredients and followed the recipe below.

For lunch we all got to eat a scone each with butter and jam and we even got to take some home to our parents. They were ‘Simply Delicious'

Project overviewRecently we did an in-depth study on the European Union and its countries. We learned a lot about the culture, landmarks, population and past times of each country.
