We finally arrive at the Courthouse. This was built in 1842. Be hind it was the Bridewell Jail. Prisoners awaiting trial were locked up here.Famous prisoners included O'Donovan Rossa (who was a Fenian leader) and Tim Cadigan, who murdered the Landlord's agent. Tim Cadigan was the last person to be hanged in Cork Jail.
