St. Finbarr's Boys' National School Website

Once again, the boys from St. Finbarr's did us proud on St. Patrick's Day with their entry
“Olympic Ceremony 2008”
This was indeed a very appropriate theme, our school being the proud holders of the
‘Active Schools’ Sports Award’ Torch bearer Fergal Crowley lead out St.Finbarr’s
Young athletes who portrayed a variety of Olympic sports from different countries and of
course we had our very own band of talented musicians (tin whistlers, drummers and
Percussion players) – a group called “The spirit of Ancient Greece”, suitably dressed in their Chitons.

Well done to all the boys who participated and a special thank you to all who helped.
